I like how comfortable the OG is, but that screen man. The SP is the definitive Advanced Gameboy because of the better screen, rechargable battery, it's still comfortable, etc. So there's 2 versions of the GBA SP: The AGS-001 and the AGS-101. So people claim the AGS-101 is better. I understand it has a better screen but.. a frontlight is cool too.

I totally agree about the brightness difference BS in the video, my first thought was that was not how bright an AGS-101 is. That looked like an original 001 next to the IPS v2 lol. I got an AGS-101 with Voltage regulator for my personal GBA. I liked the weight and true colors more than the IPS v2.

GBA did gave two flavors of ribbon cable but the IPS kits have universal ribbons for that. SP 101 is backlit (not front lit like the 001) most find the 101 to be great and usually costs more. So like the other reply dont spend extra to get similar results. Upgraded gba is the most improvement for your investment. 001 upgrade is an improvement.
