However if you click the more button you should have a convert option in each issue. Another option is to make an Epic and make the corresponding tasks part of that Epic, which maybe less work but accomplishes use Move from the menu to move the sub-task's parent back to a user story. use Convert to Issue from the menu to change the sub-task to a user story. check the epic link; mine seemed to auto-magically be correct (copied from the parent story). 2 answers. When the issue (e.g. story) was part of the sprint, the 'sprint' field was set. After the move to Epic, this field is probably still set. So to empty the field you can add the field 'sprint' to the epic issue screen and then you can remove it from the sprint. The estimate for a story should be smaller than the size of the sprint - the whole point of a sprint is that you complete entire stories, so if a story is too big to do in one sprint, it needs to be split up into several stories (and maybe those contained within an Epic.
